Our Work

We provide communications between the thirteen diocese within our Region and between the Region and the National Catholic Committee for Girl Scouts & Camp Fire USA (NCCGSCF), part of the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM).

We provide and maintain links between the diocesan Catholic Committees for Girl Scouts & Camp Fire USA through a newsletter and web site.

We provide ongoing support to form or strengthen diocesan Catholic Committees for Girl Scouts & Camp Fire USA.

We review National Religious Recognition Program evaluations and make recommendations to NCCGSCF for possible revisions.

We make other recommendations to NCCGSCF regarding National Religious Recognitions as needed.

We hold an Annual Conference/Meeting for the regional diocesan Catholic Committees for Girl Scouts and Camp Fire USA.

We promote youth attendance at the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) and choose a youth delegate(s) to represent the Region at the Bishop's Forum portion of the conference.

We promote adult attendance at the National Catholic Conference for Youth Ministry (NCCYM).

We provide funding, when possible, and help direct our NCYC youth delegates to funding sources.
