Regional Adult Awards

The Region Glass Cross of Service: This award is given by the Region 3 National Catholic Committee for Girl Scouts & Camp Fire to adults active with Diocesan Catholic Committees for Girl Scouts & Camp Fire in promoting the use of the National Religious Recognitions and other Religious events on a local level. It is also given to adults who actively participate and contribute, on a regional level to the mission and business of the region.

Selection Guidelines:

• Active member within their Diocesan Catholic Committee GS CF
• Promotes the use of the National Religious Recognitions and Regional programs
• Actively participates and contributes to the work of the Region 3 NCCGSCF

The For God and Youth Award: This prestigious recognition is given by the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry to adults who have made a significant impact on youth ministry within their organization, parish, diocesan and Regional level. Nominees must be recipients of the St. Anne medal and the Region Glass Cross of Service. They must be actively serving young people for more than 10 years. A written recommendation is required for this award.

Selection Guidelines:

• Nominee continues to demonstrate their commitment to Catholic Youth through their Diocesan Catholic Committee. Must have received the St. Anne medal and the Regional Glass Cross of Service.
• Continues to actively advocate for a vibrant youth ministry program at the parish, service unit, and council levels using the National Religious Recognition programs.
• Recruits other adults to serve as advisors for the religious recognition programs to youth in their organization to continue the work.
• Continues to demonstrate and contribute to the work of the Region.

These are presented at the Region 3 Catholic Committee for Girl Scouts and Camp Fire conference in September. Nominations for the Awards must be received by the Region Chair on or before August 15th.
