Regional Recognitions

The Region 3 National Catholic Committee for Girl Scouts and Camp Fire has developed special recognitions available for youth and adults.

These recognitions can be awarded at either the diocesan or regional level for accomplishments or service.

Regional Youth Recognitions

Regional Youth Recognition Pin


This pin can be given by a diocesan Catholic Committee for Girl Scouts & Camp Fire to any girl or boy who has successfully completed and received any four of the six National programs listed below. Check with your local Catholic Committee for Girl Scouts and Camp Fire for any other requirements.

Youth should be advised to apply, to their local Catholic Committee for Girl Scouts and Camp Fire, by completing an application, which can be obtained from your local Catholic Committee.

This pin was designed to recognize the hard work our youth due to increase their knowledge of the faith. Check with your local Catholic Committee for further details.

Regional Adult Recognitions

Adult Region Recognition Pin

This pin is used by the local Diocesan Catholic Committees for Girl Scouts & Camp Fire to recognize adults who serve the spiritual needs of girls and boys in these organizations.

The local Diocesan committee sets the criteria for this pins use. Please check with you local Catholic Committee for further information.

The Region Crystal Cross of Service

This award is given by the Region 3 National Catholic Committee for Girl Scouts & Camp Fire to adults active with Diocesan Catholic Committees for Girl Scouts & Camp Fire in promoting the use of the National Religious Recognitions and other Religious events on a local level. It is also given to adults who actively participate and contribute, on a regional level to the mission and business of the region.

Selection Guidelines:

· Active member within their Diocesan Catholic Committee

· Promotes the use of the National Religious Recognitions and Regional programs

· Actively participates and contributes to the work of the Region 3 NCCGSCF


The For God and Youth Award

This prestigious recognition is given by the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry to adults who have made a significant impact on youth ministry within their organization, parish, diocese and Regional level. Nominees must be recipients of the St. Anne medal and the Region Glass Cross of Service. They must be actively serving young people for more than 10 years. A written recommendation is required for this award.

Selection Guidelines:

· Nominee continues to demonstrate their commitment to Catholic Youth through their Diocesan Catholic Committee. Must have received the St. Anne medal and the Regional Glass Cross of Service.

· Continues to actively advocate for a vibrant youth ministry program at the parish, service unit, and council levels using the National Religious Recognition programs.

· Recruits other adults to serve as advisors for the religious recognition programs to youth in their organization to continue the work.

· Continues to demonstrate and contribute to the work of the Region.


These are presented at the Region 3 Catholic Committee for Girl Scouts and Camp Fire conference in September. Nominations for the Awards must be received by the Awards Chair on or before August 1st.
